Ich nutze Twonky nicht, habe aber mal prinzipielle Fragen.

1) Ist es richtig, dass die früher benutzte nassetup.exe den alten Twonky mit der neuen Version überschrieben hat und somit kein zusätzliches startscript nötig war?

2) Da es für die Kirkwoods nur noch gepackte Ordner ohne Installer gibt, warum entpackt man diesen nicht über den ursprünglichen. Würde die LS dann nicht über das Webinterface den Twonky Ein- und Ausschalten können?

Ich galube aber im Forum gelesen zu haben, daß er damit auch nicht glücklich wurde.

Ich habe nachdem ich auch immer wieder mal Probleme hatte, auch wieder den ORIGINAL 4.4er im Einsatz.

wollte nur mal mitteilen, das es den Twonky jetzt in der Version 6.0.34 gibt.
Es gab einen ziemlichen Bug bei der Cacheerstellung in der 30er Version, der jetzt behoben wurde.
Ist mir aufgefallen, als ich meine Daten zusammengeführt habe und das NAS vor lauter scannen zu gar nichts mehr kam.
Nach ein wenig googeln kam ich dahinter, das viele das kennen und es tatsächlich seit kurzem eine neue Version gibt:

Hab heute die 1.54 aufgespielt. Mit Ruhe kann man den mitgelieferten Twonky austauschen gegen Twonky 6.
Um es auch für mich nochmal zu haben, hab ich hier die Schritte mal aufgeschrieben.

Twonky übers Webinterface abschalten, Ordner umbennen, neuen Twonkyordner erstellen, dort die Twonkyzip entpacken.
In der twonkymedia-server-default.ini die eigenen Pfadnamen eintragen. Man kann auch ein Backup davon einkopieren.
Beispiel:
contentbase=/mnt/disk1/Daten
cachedir=/mnt/disk1/twonky/db/cache
dbdir=/mnt/disk1/twonky/db
Twonky über das Webinterface wieder starten.
Fertig, Twonky ist wieder über Webinterface erreichbar und upgedated.
DIe Lizenz muss wieder eingegeben werden,das habe ich noch nicht geschafft zu übernehmen.
Aber ist auch nicht so wild.

ich habe jetzt alles nach der anleitung installiert und es läuft soweit auch, bloß leider klappt der autostart nicht... ich habe die einträge in rcS eingefügt, doch leider startet das gute stück trotzdem nicht mit wenn ich die box resette... was kann ich noch anders machen?

Also ich habe jetzt den twonky server ganz einfach aktualisiert. Ich habe einfach den alten gelöscht und den neuen dafür "eingefügt". Dann kann man den Server auch über das Webinterface der Linkstation an- und ausschalten.

Auf der Linkstation muss die shonk Firmware installiert sein und der Mediaserver deaktiviert sein.
telnet User: root

1. In usr/local das Verzeichnis twonky löschen
2. Neues Verzeichnis twonky erstellen
3. In Verzeichnis twonky wechseln
4. Das aktuelle kirkwood- build von twonky runterladen und entpacken
5. Rechte vom Ordner twonky auf 777 setzen
6. Im Webinterface twonky aktivieren

1. cd /usr/local
2. rm -rf twonky
3. mkdir twonky
4. cd twonky
5. wget http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/6.0.38/twonkymedia-kirkwood-6.0.38.zip

7. cd /usr/local
8. chmod 777 twonky
9. exit
10. Medienserver im Webinterface wieder aktivieren

Danach ist der Twonkyserver unter (IP der Linkstation):9050 erreichbar

wollte mir auch Twonky 6 installieren, hab jedoch ein Problem beim ersten starten von "twonkymedia".
Ich bekomme lediglich die folgende (sich wiederholende) Ausgabe:


Auch das Webinterface von Twonky ist nicht erreichbar.
Auf der NAS läuft die Firmware 1.54 Mod1 von Shonk, außerdem läuft pyLoad und Transmission.

Kann mir jemand helfen?
